Orange To Dump BlackBerry Bold

If it were not for the pressures from AT&T to make a 3G-enabled BlackBerry, Research in Motion may not have brought forth the BlackBerry Bold in its latest form. There are advantages  and disadvantages  to this situation, however, as it appears that the BlackBerry Bold is suffering from some “quality concerns.”

European wireless carrier, Orange has made up their mind to dump the BlackBerry Bold 9000 from its lineup because of several “software issues”.  Orange won’t pick up the 3G-enabled smartphone again until RIM releases a firmware update that repairs all of these bugs. The Bold was launched through Orange a few months ago.

Orange did not brought up particular matters in their statement but they are distinctly speculative enough that Orange  would not like to deal with the client complaints. Probably  that’s the reason why AT&T hasn’t launched the phone yet.
